About Us

Built on Service, Driven by Community

The Fordtran Volunteer Fire Department is more than an emergency response team — we're your neighbors. Every volunteer here lives, works, and raises families right here in Yoakum. That's what makes our service different: we're not just responding to calls, we're protecting the places we call home.

Based along US Highway 77 North, our station serves as a critical first response point for Yoakum and the surrounding DeWitt County communities. Our volunteers train continuously, maintaining the skills and equipment needed to handle everything from structure fires to medical emergencies with professionalism and care.
